Central Park
Often the first trip we take in a school year is a scavenger hunt in Central Park. Advisories explore the park, taking group photos and working together to find a variety of park landmarks. This trip sets the tone for the school year, providing an opportunity for advisories to engage in team building and reinforces trip norms.
Ramapo
A yearly tradition is our fall overnight Ramapo Retreat at Ramapo for Children in upstate New York. Over the course of two days students engage in a variety of team-building activities with their advisories and in grade-level groups: day and night-time hikes; low- and high-ropes courses; campfire activities; games and contests; and family-style dining. Everybody enjoys free play in the playground or the gym, s’mores around the fire, and the build-your-own salad bar at each meal. And, of course, the thrill of trying out a new high-ropes challenge is exhilarating!
